Sonomi and Fujitaka were her best friends. Sonomi loved her, and when she married Fujitaka Sonomi stopped hanging out with them. Nadeshiko missed her best friend (and cousin.) Nadeshiko died when Sakura was three. I think Nadeshiko was 27 when she died. Her spirit communicated with Toya, but stopped for some reason when he started high school. She is still looking out for her kids, and helping them sometimes (as we see when she helps Sakura when she is capturing the Illusion Card.) Nadeshiko was a model and looks similar to Tomoyo. (The hair kind of.) She was a little bit of a clutz and could fall asleep almost anywhere. (So that's where Sakura gets it.)
