At first Li thought of Sakura as his rival. But later he grows to love her. He is a descendant of Clow Reed, the wizard who created the Clow Cards. Li is engaged to Meilin in both the English and Japanese series. But in the manga Li and Meilin are cousins. At the end Li brakes the engagement with Meilin (or the other way around.) Li is very powerful, and helped Sakura many times. Li doesn't get along with Kero and ends up getting bitten by Kero many times.
